2015 July Wyoming

We travelled to Wyoming in July of 2015 from Indiana in our RV.  Travelled thru South Dakota and into northern Wyoming.  We stopped at the Badlands National Park in South Dakota which is on the way and hiked there for an afternoon.  Spent most of our time in the Bighorn Mountains and Grand Teton National Park.  In the Bighorns, we stayed at the National Forest Campgrounds, which are great places to camp.  Not too crowded, except on the 4th of July weekend.  Trails were great!  We stayed about 1 week in the Bighorns before moving onto Grand Tetons.

Grand Tetons is sort of treated as an overflow for Yellowstone National Park, so camping was quite crowded and not much to speak of.  Grand Tetons is 40 miles south of Yellowstone.  The big stop in the area is Yellowstone.   However, the hiking and views of the mountains were fantastic.  Most folks don't use the trails, so we usually have those to ourselves.
